Born and raised in San Francisco, California I was trained in the trenches of the digital age. After studying Psychology at McGill I landed back in the Bay Area drawn to community building and business psychology in the local space. Starting at Yelp as one of the first ten employees I worked my way through from Sales and Marketing in San Francisco and then opening the New York office in September 2008. We embarked on an uphill battle: opening our doors on Madison Square park the same day that Lehman Brothers closed their own. Six weeks on the ground and I kicked off our launch with our Inaugural Ball of our own at New York City's Carlton Hotel, a red-carpet event hosting more than 1200 high profile New Yorkers with over 30 sponsors. I invite you to view my events portfolio for more examples of the range of event planning experience I have under my belt.
I have a proven track record as a veteran marketer and large-scale event producer who has built a reputation as a growth leader, an out-of-the-box partnership strategist and tenacious community builder. Experience building a successful client base for tech, mobile and product start-ups, pioneering account management strategy, and seeing high-profile partnership activations and events through from conceptualization to execution.
Specialties include: user growth, event marketing, go to market strategy, leadership and team building, partnerships and development.
